Girl, 6, dies in NSW quad bike crash

A six-year-old girl is dead and a 13-year-old girl has head injuries after being thrown from a quad bike in northwest NSW.

A six-year-old girl has been killed in a quad bike crash in northwest NSW.

The girl was one of three children on the bike at a property west of Narrabri on Sunday afternoon when it left the private roadway and hit two trees.

The girl died at the scene, while another girl, aged 13, suffered head injuries and was flown to Sydney Children's Hospital.

The third girl, also 13, was not injured.
