Girl, 8, indecently assaulted in NSW home

A man has broken into a home south of Sydney and indecently assaulted an eight-year-old girl who was sleeping inside.

An eight-year-old girl has been indecently assaulted by a man who broke into her home south of Sydney as she slept.

The girl's mother woke up during the attack in their Shoalhaven home just before 2.30am on Friday.

She disturbed the man, who then fled. Forensic investigators are examining the crime scene.
