Canadian native, Jean Beliveau, has returned home to a hero's welcome after his 11-year walk around the world.
Trampling through 64 countries, the 56-year-old said the toughest part of his journey was walking through deserts in Australia's North.
"The most challenging desert was in Northern Australia; three months, 45 degrees, phew," he told CNN.

Beliveau left Montreal on the day of his 45th birthday - August 18. 2000 - after his small sign business went bankrupt. According to AFP, he decided to undertake the 75,000 kilometre walk in an attempt to escape his pain.
The Canadian told well-wishers upon his arrival home that his new mission was to lobby Canada and other governments to create "ministries of peace".
"We may never have peace but if we take one step forward, and then another, I think we can create a better world together," Beliveau said.
