While Australians wait for the release of the regular iPad on May 28, a UK designer has unveiled his latest luxurious creation.
The solid-gold iPad Supreme Edition, worth around $A215,000, has sparkling gems set into its Apple logo.
The extravagant iPad has a solid-gold rear and screen surround, and is the Wi-Fi & 3G, 64GB version.
Its price is 130,000 pounds.
Designer Stuart Hughes also offers a budget, gold-plated iPad for a more cost-friendly 2,000 pounds ($A3300).
