Goosebumps author R.L. Stine livetweets short horror story

Author R.L. Stine, famous for his hugely popular horror novels Goosebumps, has live tweeted a terrifying short story ahead of Halloween.

Author R.L. Stine, famous for his hugely popular horror novels Goosebumps, has live tweeted a creeptastic short story called 'What's In My Sandwich' ahead of Halloween.

Stine, 70, introduced generations of children, particulatly in the 90s, to the horror genre when he released the 'Fear Street' and 'Goosebumps' series.

Stine has since relaunched 'Fear Street', releasing the first of six new books 'Party Games' in September this year.

"The whole thing happened because of Twitter," Stine said. "It's a great way to keep in touch with my original readers, and 'Fear Street' was mentioned more than anything else. That's what they read when they were kids. And I suppose we're all nostalgic for what we read back then."
