The 24-year-old Queenslander collected the bronze medal - the same result she got at last month's world championships.
She actually finished fifth behind a quartet of Americans but received the medal as PanPacs rules limit countries to just two people on the podium for any one event.

The medal was well deserved as Gorman was backing up after her gold medal winning swim in the 1500m freestyle in the pool the previous night.
The event was won by Christine Jennings in 2:00.33 from countrywoman Eva Fabian.
"Yeah, the legs did feel a bit tired after the swim in the 1500m last night," admitted Gorman who clocked 2:00.56.
"But I'm happy with my effort and to walk away with a medal is just amazing.
"I used up a lot of energy chasing Eva when she broke away at the halfway mark and just didn't have anything left in the legs for the final sprint."
Behind Gorman, Danielle De Francesco was the next best Australian, finishing seventh in a time of 2:02.26 while teammates Sam Hoschke-Edwards and Stacey Hansford were 10th and 11th respectively.
The Americans again dominated the men's 10km event, with Chip Peterson and Fran Crippen finishing one-two and Canada's Rich Weinberger in third.
Unheralded Australian George O'Brien, came sixth in 1:59.19 for his best international open water finish.
