Govt backs call to do better on NDIS

The federal government has backed a Greens call to address barriers for blind people trying to access the National Disability Insurance Scheme.

The Greens motion, support by Labor and the coalition, calls on Social Services Minister Christian Porter to ensure all information and documentation for the NDIS is accessible to the vision-impaired.

Coalition frontbencher James McGrath on Thursday told the Senate the government supported the motion and was already working with the National Disability Insurance Agency to improve accessibility for the blind and vision-impaired.
