A government minister says the Turnbull government might not get to serve a full term amid speculation Australia will head to a double-dissolution election in July.
"The government has intended to run its full term but there are these unresolved deadlocks in the Senate," Resources Minister Josh Frydenberg told reporters on Sunday.
A double-dissolution election is an option for the government if law reforms to restore the building industry watchdog and enact tougher governance rules for trade unions do not pass the Senate.
