Melbourne's Will Chambers has become uncharacteristically tight lipped about his feud with Wade Graham, dismissing the thought of NRL bad blood with Cronulla spilling over in Wednesday night's State of Origin decider.
But Chambers did bristle at accusations the Maroons sledged NSW after their come from behind 18-16 game two win in Sydney.
Queensland centre Chambers has become embroiled in a running battle with NSW's Graham and his Sharks teammates since Cronulla emerged triumphant in their 2016 NRL grand final win over the Storm.
It erupted during the grand final re-match in April when Chambers allegedly called Sharks forwards Graham and Paul Gallen "drug cheats", in light of Cronulla's supplements saga.
They resumed their niggling act in last month's Cronulla-Melbourne return bout, trading barbs as they ran to the Southern Cross Group Stadium sheds at halftime.
And there has been no love lost between Chambers and Graham in the first two Origin games.
Queensland have a very Melbourne feel to them for game three with six Storm players picked -- their biggest contingent since game three, 2008.
NSW boast Cronulla's Graham, James Maloney, Andrew Fifita and Jack Bird.
But Chambers scoffed at suggestions the Melbourne-Cronulla feud would be a factor on Wednesday night at Suncorp Stadium.
"Mate, this is State of Origin," he said.
"I played with Andrew Fifita, I played for Australia with him.
"I played with Jimmy Maloney and trained with Jimmy Maloney, why would that have anything to do with this?
"This is State of Origin, there's no club footy here."
Chambers did fire up when asked about reports the Maroons gave NSW a verbal send-off in game two.
"It's funny you should say I was bagging them, you are throwing stones there," he said to a reporter.
"I haven't done any of that mate so I don't know what was said."
Chambers couldn't remember the incident but had been knocked out in a second half tackle.
"I was all over the shop after the game," he said.
Club rivalries may be shelved by Chambers during Origin but he has embraced the arrival of the huge Storm contingent at Queensland's Gold Coast camp.
Debutant Cameron Munster's selection at five-eighth ensures he joins Storm teammates Chambers, Cameron Smith, Cooper Cronk, Billy Slater and Tim Glasby.
"It's pretty special. The boys that are here have all worked really hard," Chambers said of his Melbourne teammates.
