Greece on Tuesday said it would halt mail deliveries to foreign destinations for 48 hours after a number of parcel bomb deliveries to embassies in Athens and European destinations, AFP reported.
A suspect package from Greece found aboard a courier company plane rerouted to Bologna airport was intended for Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi, a Greek police source said Tuesday.
"The package on board the plane was addressed to Berlusconi," the police source told AFP.

German Chancellor Angela Merkel and French President Nicolas Sarkozy were also targeted in a Greek parcel bomb campaign that began Monday and included various foreign embassies in Athens.
The bombs are believed to have been crafted and sent by an elusive Greek far-left group that was until now known for small-scale explosive attacks against government buildings and the offices and homes of politicians.
And in an unprecedented move, Greece has stopped all outgoing mail.
"The transport of mail and parcels abroad will be halted for 48 hours to enable follow-up inspections," the police department said in a statement.
Two men have been arrested in Athens in connection with the case.
