GWS forward Toby Greene says he feels fitter than at any stage of his injury-plagued AFL season and should be "100 per cent" for the Giants' Sydney derby elimination final.
Greene has missed the Giants' past three home-and-away rounds with a hamstring injury.
"I've been training fully for about a week now so I'll be all good, 100 per cent in a couple of weeks," Greene told AAP on Monday.
It's been a stop-start campaign for the 24-year-old small forward, who's played just seven matches, six of which the Giants won.
His woes started even before the season, when he broke a toe while holidaying overseas.
Greene was back for the Giants' season-opener, kicking four goals in an 82-point win over the Western Bulldogs, but missed the next two games with a hamstring issue.
A foot injury then sidelined him for 10 matches.
Greene put together four straight games before his latest setback.
"It has been frustrating but I'm probably the fittest I've been at the moment all year so looking forward to the finals series," Greene said.
The 2016 All-Australian representative and Giants best-and-fairest winner has still averaged almost two goals a game in his interrupted campaign, bagging 13.
The Giants have sorely missed his scoring prowess, kicking just eight goals in each of their recent losses to Sydney and Melbourne.
Greene could be one of up to seven Giants players back from injury and available for the September 8 clash with Sydney.
That list includes veterans Brett Deledio, Ryan Griffen and Matt de Boer, and key defenders Aidan Corr and Sam Taylor.
"We've been a bit unlucky with injuries this year but there's a lot of boys who will be pushing for that first week of finals," Greene said.
"It will be interesting to see what (head coach Leon Cameron) does but I'm sure they are going to be putting their hand up."
Greene missed both Sydney derbies this season.
"It will be great for footy in Sydney. It's always good when we play them," Greene said.
GWS announced on Monday that Matthew Nicks would be their senior assistant coach for the 2019 season.
