NSW Greens MP Lee Rhiannon has dismissed calls to step down from the state parliament after federal party leader Bob Brown suggested she do so.
Bob Brown had said she would be wise to step down and concentrate on her Senate campaign. Senator Brown told reporters in Canberra on Thursday he understood Ms Rhiannon would soon stand down, after conceding she had used her state parliament office as the contact point for her federal campaign.
He said the issue was a "matter of regret" but he was looking forward to her joining the Senate race.

"I think she would be ... very wise, with Labor and Liberal on the prowl on issues like this and (when) she's been champion of probity in politics, to clear the decks, get into the Senate
campaign and make way," Senator Brown said.
But Rhiannon, who has campaigned on the issue of misusing public funds, was standing firm.
"I'm not about to resign over a few typos. This story is an ALP beat up.", she tweeted.
Following a press conference on Thursday afternoon, Rhiannon later said that Brown fully supports her, he told her in private conversations after his initial comments to media, journalist Mark Tobin tweeted.
