The Greens are pledging billions of dollars to boost social security payments.
Greens leader Richard Di Natale on Friday will unveil the plan to increase payments for more than half a million jobseekers and students on Newstart and Youth Allowance by $55 a week, at a cost of more than $10 billion over four years.
They'll spend nearly $2 billion on single parent payments for those with a youngest child up to 16 - under the existing system, they would move onto Newstart when their youngest turns 8.
"Every Australian should feel safe that community services will be there for them when they need it," he said.
Senator Di Natale will unveil a $12 million national anti-poverty plan, with an expert group to identify strategies and poverty reduction targets to be reported to parliament each year.
He'll also pledge $25 million to set up an equality commission, which would give independent advice on social security policy and set rates for income support.
"For Australia to be having people living in poverty is unacceptable," he said.
The Greens plan also includes:
* $2.2 billion to provide a 30 per cent increase to those receiving government rent assistance - up to $25 extra a week.
* Scrapping the Work for the Dole program and redirecting funding to community-based initiatives.
* Reversing coalition cuts, including $465 million to remove income support waiting periods for young people and $1.4 billion to reverse cuts to the clean energy supplement for those on income support.
