Group wants SA bars, clubs to close at 3am

The Foundation for Alcohol Research and Education wants South Australian bars and clubs to close at 3am with a 1am lockout.

South Australian bars and clubs should be forced to close at 3am with a 1am lockout policy to help reduce street violence, a lobby group says.

SA also needs to step into line with other states and territories and introduce secondary supply laws making it illegal for adults to provide others' children with alcohol without consent, the Foundation for Alcohol Research and Education says.

In its submission to a review of SA's liquor licensing laws, the group accuses the government of prioritising business concerns over harm minimisation.
