Guard held by Canadian inmates released

Authorities in Canada say two inmates who took a female correctional officer hostage at a Quebec courthouse have been arrested.

Two men, aged 22 and 26, surrendered early on Wednesday evening and were arrested, Quebec provincial police official Hélène Nepton said.

She said the officer was not injured in the altercation.
