A former dog groomer has been found guilty of murdering a 16-year-old Victorian girl who disappeared in 1983.

Michelle Buckingham was last seen walking towards her home after leaving the Victoria Hotel at Shepparton about 8.30pm on October 21, 1983.

Steven James Bradley, 53, was on Friday found guilty of her murder by a Vitorian Supreme Court jury.
