A woman sought in connection with the Las Vegas mass shooting that has claimed 50 lives and wounded more than 400 has been cleared of any involvement.

Marilou Danley, reportedly an Australian, was named as a person of interest following the mass shooting in Las Vegas on Sunday night (Monday morning AEDT).

She was named as the girlfriend and roommate of gunman Stephen Paddock, 64.

Las Vegas police located Danley shortly after releasing her name to media.
