Guns found in roof space of Vic cop shop

Professional standards police are investigating after two fake guns were found in the roof space of a Melbourne police station.

Two imitation pistols have been found in the roof space of Melbourne's St Kilda police station.

Detectives from Victoria Police's professional standards command are investigating after contractors found the guns on Monday, the Herald Sun reported.

Further comment is being sought.
