Star forward Toby Greene will make his long-awaited return for Greater Western Sydney in Saturday night's blockbuster AFL clash with Richmond.

Greene joins Jacob Hopper and Adam Kennedy in the Giants' 22 for the game at Spotless Stadium while veteran Brett Deledio will return from a calf injury through the NEAFL.

The Tigers welcome back premiership duo Bachar Houli and Nick Vlastuin and forward Shai Bolton as they chase their first away win for the season.

Nathan Broad, Dan Butler and Jack Graham are out injured.

Greene had been sidelined by a foot injury since round five but looms as a key player in the 10th-placed Giants' finals push.

West Coast are also set to bolster their forward line with Jack Darling, Josh Kennedy and Mark LeCras named for Sunday's clash with Collingwood at the MCG.

The Magpies have named Will Hoskin-Elliott (knee) and Darcy Moore (hamstring) but will give the pair until the last minute to prove their fitness.

Carlton and St Kilda have each swung five changes for Friday night's bottom-of-the-ladder game at Etihad Stadium.

Young forward Harry McKay and veteran Kade Simpson headline the Blues' inclusions while key defender Jake Carlisle is back for the Saints.

The Western Bulldogs suffered a double injury blow with Tom Boyd (back) and Hayden Crozier (hamstring) joining skipper Marcus Bontempelli (appendix) on the sidelines.

Off-contract ruckman Jordan Roughead, star midfielder Jack Macrae and Mitch Honeychurch return for Saturday's clash with Melbourne.

Veteran Bernie Vince and Jay Kennedy-Harris are back for the Demons, who lost Joel Smith and Billy Stretch to injury.

Essendon received good injury news with Orazio Fantasia (groin) cleared to face Gold Coast at Metricon Stadium.

Matt Dea and Darcy Parish are the other inclusions, replacing injured duo Jake Stringer and Patrick Ambrose and Jake Long (omitted), while the Suns will go in unchanged.

Brisbane also named an unchanged lineup to face Hawthorn, who recalled Brendan Whitecross and Tim O'Brien in place of the injured Ben McEvoy and Jon O'Rourke.

Star midfielder Isaac Heeney has been named in Sydney's extended squad to face North Melbourne on Sunday.

The Roos could welcome back rookie forward Nick Larkey to replace the injured Cameron Zurhaar.

Fremantle lost Andrew Brayshaw (groin) for their clash with Port Adelaide, who will be without key defender Tom Jonas (knee).
