GWS will be without star forward Jeremy Cameron for several weeks at the start of the AFL season for his crude bump on Brisbane's Rhys Mathieson.
The incident during the third term of Sunday's pre-season game left Mathieson with a fractured cheekbone.
Cameron was referred directly to the tribunal, with no option of an early plea.
The tribunal will sit either on Tuesday or Wednesday, but one thing for certain is that Cameron will leave the hearing with a suspension.
He was reported immediately bumping Mathieson and Monday's match review panel graded the rough conduct charge as careless, with severe impact to the head.
Cameron is also in big trouble because his feet left the ground when he landed the bump.
The Lions are certain that Mathieson needs surgery.
They are hopeful he will only be out of action for a couple of weeks.
Less than a minute after Cameron's big hit, Lions player Dayne Zorko was also booked for striking Giants co-captain Phil Davis.
Zorko can reduce his two-game suspension to one match with an early plea.
The last round of NAB Challenge matches kept the MRP busy, with Carlton veteran Dale Thomas offered a one-match ban for striking Sydney defender Jeremy Laidler.
Thomas, like Zorko, would risk two games by challenging the charge at the tribunal.
Geelong young gun Nakia Cockatoo can take two games for his dangerous tackle that appeared to leave veteran Fremantle defender Michael Johnson with concussion.
Cockatoo's rough conduct charge was rated as careless with high contact to the head, meaning he would risk a three-game ban at the tribunal.
Blake Hardwick was charged with striking North Melbourne ruckman Todd Goldstein and the Hawthorn newcomer can accept a $1000 fine.
A high bump on St Kilda's Nathan Wright will also cost Melbourne utility Cameron Pedersen a $1000, or potentially $1500 at the tribunal.
Richmond star Dustin Martin, Port Adelaide's Jarman Impey and Carlton forward Andrew Walker are all set to be $1000 out of pocket for wrestling charges.
Hawthorn star Sam Mitchell escaped punishment for twice pushing North Melbourne opponent Ben Jacobs in the face at a centre bounce.
The MRP also took no action against Port Adelaide midfielder Hamish Hartlett for headbutting Richmond recruit Jacob Townsend.
The panel ruled that the contact in the two incidents was too low to warrant a charge.
