A gyrocopter has crashed on landing at the Caboolture airport north of Brisbane.

The middle-aged male pilot suffered mild head injuries, a Queensland Ambulance Service spokesperson said on Tuesday.

Paramedics are attending the scene and the man is in a stable condition.

A spokesman for the Caboolture Aero Club said the cause of the accident was not known at this time, however, conditions were favourable for flying.

"Could have been mechanical, could have been pilot error," he said.
