A Florida group which hands out food to homeless people has had help from unlikely quarters - computer hackers acting under the banner of the Anonymous movement.
Orlando Food Not Bombs recently defied local law which makes it illegal to hand out food to large groups without the relevant permit, resulting in the arrest of members.
The local mayor even reportedly calls the members of the left-leaning group 'food terrorists' - the group has filed a lawsuit.
There are a set number of permits, and the group has reportedly already used all of its permits up for this year, Britain's Guardian newspaper reported.
Now hackers have defaced websites in the city which promote the nicer side of Orlando to tourists, by defacing their websites. Food not Bombs has denied all links to the group, but says it appreciates the support.
