Doctors in decimated Haiti believe a man pulled alive from the rubble may have been trapped since a devastating earthquake in the Caribbean nation four weeks ago, CNN reports.

Evan Muncie was suffering severe dehydration and malnutrition, but was otherwise not seriously injured, say the US medical team treating the 28-year old.

"He was emaciated. He hadn't had anything in quite some time," Dr Mike Connelly of the University of Miami field hospital told CNN.
