Western Bulldogs skipper Easton Wood has almost certainly played his last game of the season after suffering a serious hamstring injury.
The Bulldogs' disastrous season reached a new low on Friday night when they suffered a heavy injury toll in a 57-point thumping by Port Adelaide.
The casualties included Wood (hamstring), Marcus Bontempelli (knee), Jack Macrae (hamstring), Toby McLean (shoulder), Lukas Webb (thumb) and Tom Boyd (finger).
The skipper limped from Adelaide Oval in the second quarter, scans on Saturday confirming he will miss 10 to 12 weeks with a high-grade hamstring tear, although he will not need surgery.
With the Dogs almost certain to miss the finals, Wood would need a small miracle to play again this year.

Bontempelli escaped serious injury after hyper-extending a knee and McLean will be monitored this week, with both a chance to face North Melbourne next week.
Ball magnet Macrae wasn't so lucky and will miss up to a month with his low-grade strain, as will Webb after undergoing surgery on a fractured thumb.
Boyd has had surgery on a dislocated finger but hasn't been ruled out of the Roos clash.
