James Harden has recorded a 50-point triple-double and came through during a decisive stretch in the fourth quarter to lift the host Houston Rockets to a 126-111 NBA victory over the Los Angeles Lakers.

Harden grabbed his 10th rebound with less than 90 seconds left on Thursday night and finished with 11 assists to give him his second triple-double this season and the 37th of his career.

LeBron James finished with 29 points for the Lakers, who had won their previous two games.

Houston's lead was three after Kyle Kuzma's soaring dunk but Harden was fouled on a three-pointer and made all three free throws to make it 112-106.

Harden then made three-pointers on consecutive possessions to push the lead to 12 and cause Lakers coach Luke Walton to call a timeout.

James was in Harden's face on the second one and Harden fell to the court as the ball rolled around the rim for a couple of seconds before dropping in.

James added a dunk before Clint Capela and Harden made consecutive baskets to compete the 13-2 run and make it 122-108 to put the game out of reach.

In the day's other games, LaMarcus Aldridge scored 27 points and the San Antonio Spurs won their fourth straight, topping the Los Angeles Clippers 125-87 for their largest win of the season.

Rudy Gay added 21 points, DeMar DeRozan had 14 and Australia's Patty Mills 11 for San Antonio.

Tobias Harris had 17 points for Los Angeles and Danilo Gallinari and Avery Bradley added 15 apiece.

The Clippers have lost two straight and four of five.

Nikola Vucevic hit a tie-breaking jumper with 28.8 seconds left, and the Orlando Magic emerged with a 97-91 win over the Chicago Bulls night in Mexico City.

Vucevic led all scorers with 26 points to go along with 10 rebounds, bouncing back from his lowest point total of the season (eight) in Orlando's blowout loss to the Dallas Mavericks.

It was the eighth regular-season game the NBA has held in the Arena Ciudad de Mexico.

Phoenix beat Dallas 99-89 with TJ Warren scoring a game-high 30 points for the Suns.
