The Sydney Royal Easter Show will celebrate Harmony Day with a number of performances on the TVS Stage:

Northern Territory

Casuarina and Darwin City Libraries documentary screening: Thursday, 21 March 2013

Along with the 2013 Harmony Day theme: Many Stories – One Australia, the Casuarina and City Libraries will be continuously screening the documentary the '11Eleven Project'. The documentary tells the story of Planet Earth on November 11, 2011, using the footage, music and sounds sourced from around the world on that specific day.

Townsville Seniors Harmony Day Expo: Thursday, 21 March 2013

The Seniors Harmony Day Expo will celebrate Harmony Day with different activities, raffles and cooking demonstrations. Taste some multicultural food. Try Tai Chi and Yoga. Celebrate the day together with family, friends, neighbours and service providers.'

South Australia

Renmark Paringa Council documentary screening: Thursday, 21 March 2013

In celebration of Harmony Day 2013 Renmark Paringa Council invites the community to a free screening of the '11Eleven Project' – a 72 minute film about people from 179 countries capturing what they were doing on 11/11/11 using film, photography, music, sound & text. A free multicultural supper will also be served at after the movie screening.

Tasmania

Hobart City Council Harmony Day Events: Thursday, 21 March 2013

Hobart City Council will celebrate Harmony Day with a migrant and humanitarian entrant student event in the Elizabeth St Mall. Following the entertainment and welcome there will be a Harmony procession to the Hobart Youth Arts and Recreation Centre for refreshments, multicultural films and fun activities for young people and the broader community.

Ticketed event: Melbourne Heart FC vs Western Sydney

5.30 pm, AAMI Park, Melbourne

Special Harmony performances will take place.

North East Multicultural Association (NEMA) festival: Saturday, 23 March 2013

NEMA will celebrate Harmony Day with a festival picnic including a day of community market in the morning, a community picnic incorporating music, dance and activities representing the various multicultural communities within the city. The day will also feature a photo display of life stories from multicultural residents and a cinema screening of short films in the evening focussing on multiculturalism in Australia.

Maroondah Harmony Day Working Group art exhibition: Saturday, 23 March 2013

Maroondah City Council will support Harmony Day by hosting an event which showcases an art exhibition, cultural performances, and a formal Declaration of Maroondah as a Refugee Welcome Zone. The art exhibition will be a 'postcard' exhibition called 'Wish You Were Here, Maroondah - Where Everyone Belongs' and will celebrate people's experiences of participating in the multicultural community of Maroondah.

Western Australia

Kulcha Multicultural Arts Oz Concert: Sunday, 17 March 2013

Western Australia's leading multicultural arts organisation, Kulcha Multicultural Arts, will present Oz Concert 2013 as a free ticketed event as part of Harmony Week. Now in its 25th year, Oz Concert is an annual celebration featuring an exciting array of multicultural acts and artists. It typically attracts a live audience of 7,000 people, and is broadcast nationally on SBS TV. Reserve your free tickets now.

City of Joondalup Library Live and Learn - Harmony Day: Thursday, 21 March 2013

As a celebration of Harmony Day for 2013, the City have a multicultural smorgasbord of presenters and food for the community listen to and enjoy. Hear stories from speakers who have settled in to a new life in this country. They will relate stories around the circumstances that have bought them to this country, how they have coped in a new homeland and what they are doing now. A special morning tea with cuisine from these countries will be provided. Bookings are essential.
