Harriet Wran will walk free from prison early next week after spending just over two years behind bars for her role in the robbery and murder of a Sydney drug dealer.
The State Parole Authority ticked off on the 28-year-old's bid for freedom on Friday, and she will be released within seven days from Silverwater jail once community corrections measures are in place.
The decision comes nearly two months after she was sentenced over the fatal stabbing of Daniel McNulty in August 2014.
She was given a maximum four-year term and her parole period will last until August 2018.
Wran, the daughter of former NSW premier Neville Wran, was jailed for being an accessory to the Redfern unit murder, robbery in company, and harbouring her boyfriend afterwards.
The former drug addict must abstain from alcohol and not use or possess illicit substances while out on parole.
She must also participate in psychological or psychiatric treatment as directed, and not contact McNulty's family or her co-offenders.
Wran admitted helping then-boyfriend Michael Lee and his friend Lloyd Edward Haines gain entry to the flat, but says she didn't know Lee had a knife and didn't see Mr McNulty being stabbed.
Lee and Haines have both pleaded guilty to murder and other charges and will be sentenced later this month.
At her sentencing hearing in July, Wran spoke of how her charmed life as a private school girl and well-heeled socialite crumbled to the desperate depths of an ice-injecting junkie in the middle of a grisly murder.
"I regret every step I took that night," Wran told the NSW Supreme Court through tears, after speaking of her battles with mental illness, eating disorders and a crippling drug addiction.
"If I hadn't knocked on the door, perhaps it (the deadly robbery) would never have happened."
Wran vowed never to touch drugs again, tearfully telling the court she felt responsible for Mr McNulty's stabbing death and the serious injury of his housemate Brett Fitzgerald.
