Hasler expects Turbo to jet into Origin

Manly star Tom Trbojevic is all but certain to make his NRL return from a hamstring injury against North Queensland on Saturday.

Tom Trbojevic may have just landed in Townsville, but Manly expect their star fullback to jet straight back into State of Origin contention.

Trbojevic will make his long-awaited return from a hamstring injury when the Sea Eagles clash with North Queensland on Saturday.

"The man speaks for himself, what he's done and what he brings to any team," Manly coach Des Hasler told reporters on Thursday.

"I just know for Tom, he just wants to get out and play. It's been (nine) weeks since he's laced the boots on."

However Hasler expects Trbojevic to be rushed back into the Blues team for either Nick Cotric or Josh Morris for game two in Perth.

The 22-year-old was arguably the player of the series last year.

"No doubt when he gets a couple of games under his belt... there's still two Origins to go," Hasler said.

"So I imagine at some stage his name will come into consideration somewhere."

Origin duo Daly Cherry-Evans and Tom's brother Jake are also set to take on the Cowboys just three days after the sapping interstate in contest in Brisbane.

The inclusion of all three is an enormous boost for a Sea Eagles side that sit seventh on the ladder but have dropped three of their past four games.

"They're professional players. They know what it's about. They can't wait to get back to their teammates," Hasler said of his Origin pair.

"Both are itching and raring to go.

"We'll assess them a little bit closer to the game over the course of the next 48 hours, (but) all indications are they've come up okay."
