Hateboer called up to Dutch squad to replace Tete

ROTTERDAM (Reuters) - Atalanta defender Hans Hateboer has been drafted into the Netherlands squad for Sunday's Euro 2020 qualifier against Germany in place of Kenny Tete, who played for just 20 seconds against Belarus on Thursday before suffering a hamstring injury.

Hateboer was picked ahead of Watford's Daryl Janmaat to replace the Olympique Lyonnais player in the squad.

However, Denzel Dumfries will likely be the first choice right back against the Germans at the Amsterdam Arena on Sunday.

Dumfries started on Thursday as the Dutch began their Group C qualifying campaign with 4-0 win over Belarus in Rotterdam.

He was taken off after 68 minutes -- the last of the changes made by coach Ronald Koeman on the night -- but replacement Tete, in his first sprint, pulled up with an obvious hamstring problem and had to go off.
