Have your say: Diggers' social media 'slurs'

Defence is investigating racist comments and video posted on Facebook by Australian soldiers. Defence Minister Stephen Smith described as 'appalling' the digger's conduct and hinted it was likely that the soldiers would be disciplined. But others, like General Cosgrove, chief of Defence between 2002 and 2005, say the 'silly' comments need to be kept in proportion. Cosgrove says the soldiers are putting their lives on the line for Afghans and deserve no more than a 'slap on the wrist'. What do you think? Should any action be taken against these soldiers?
