Jarryd Hayne enjoyed a 90 second cameo in Fiji's 40-7 quarter-final thrashing of France at Twickenham on Sunday morning.
Fiji coach Ben Ryan threw on his latest recruit after a Waisea Nayacalevu try, and Hayne was instantly involved in his fourth career Rugby Sevens game rising high to bat the ball back from the ensuing Fiji kickoff.
The ball fell to France, then Hayne slipped over allowing Alexandre Gracbling to dash clear for what looked a certain try.
Hayne chased valiantly and produced a desperate ankle tap to save the try.
He had one last involvement, running the ball out from his own goal line before losing possession in the tackle.
It didn't matter Fiji regained the ball and Amenoni Nasilasila produced a length-of-the-field gallop to seal a dominant win.
The Fijians now face South Africa in the semi-final.
Meanwhile, Australia is through to the semi-finals of the Bowl competition after a nervy 17-12 win over cellar dwellers Portugal.
Sam Figg, Henry Hutchison and Frankie Winterstein all crossed the line in a win which relegates Portugal from next season's Rugby Sevens World Series.
