Hazlewood heaps more misery on bunny Amla

Josh Hazlewood has now dismissed Hashim Amla on seven occasions in 10 Test innings, having struck shortly after lunch on day one of the third Test in Cape Town.

Josh Hazlewood has extended his incredible run of dominance against Hashim Amla, dismissing his bunny for a seventh time in 10 Test innings.

Amla is among South Africa's most accomplished players, with Graeme Smith and Jacques Kallis the only batsmen to have scored more Test runs for their country.

No South African has enjoyed more Test wins over Australia than Amla.

But there is something about Hazlewood's immaculate control that routinely rattles the 34-year-old, whose strength is normally his patience at the crease.

Hazlewood struck shortly after the lunch break on day one of the third Test in Cape Town, at which point Amla had gone 10 overs without adding to his score of 31.

Amla was out hooking a rearing bouncer, with Pat Cummins completing a regulation catch at fine leg.

The only bowler to have troubled Amla more than Hazlewood in his 116-Test career is England's Stuart Broad, who has dismissed the right-hander eight times in 33 innings.

Hazlewood started his streak in the 2016-17 series between the sides in Australia, dismissing Amla five times in the space of 49 deliveries.

HASHIM AMLA'S CONQUERORS IN TEST CRICKET *Stuart Broad: 8 wickets from 33 innings *Josh Hazlewood: 7 wickets from 10 innings *Mitchell Johnson: 7 wickets from 23 innings.
