Australia will provide an additional $4.5 million in aid to Indonesia in the wake of a fatal earthquake and tsunami.
Over 1500 people are confirmed dead and 65,000 homes have been damaged and destroyed following last week's earthquake and tsunami in Sulawesi.

Foreign Affairs Minister Marise Payne announced the extra aid on Saturday, taking Australia's total assistance to $10.25 million.

The support is aimed to provide additional humanitarian supplies, health and logistical assistance.
Ms Payne's office estimates over 80,000 are being provided with access to shelter, sanitation and clean water through assistance from the Indonesian Red Cross and Australian non-government organisations.

Australian military assets including at least two air force C-130 Hercules are also providing support to the Indonesian government's relief efforts.
"This is a heartbreaking tragedy. We stand with our friends and neighbours," Prime Minister Scott Morrison tweeted on Friday.
