Highlights from today's NBA games

HIGHLIGHTS FROM THE NBA GAMES PLAYED ON SUNDAY (MONDAY AEDT)

KNICKS 94 beat SPURS 90 - Carmelo Anthony poured in 25 points, helping the New York Knicks snap a four-game losing streak with a 94-90 win over the San Antonio Spurs.

Derrick Rose added 18 points and Kristaps Porzingis contributed 17 points, seven rebounds and four blocks for the Knicks (23-33), who finished a five-game home stand 1-4.

Kawhi Leonard paced the Spurs (41-13) with 36 points, nine rebounds and four steals.

New York held the Spurs, the best 3-point shooting team in the league, to just 20 per cent (six of 29) from beyond the arc.

PISTONS 102 bt RAPTORS 101 - Kentavious Caldwell-Pope scored five of his 21 points in the final minute and the Detroit Pistons overcame a 16-point fourth-quarter deficit to beat the Toronto Raptors 102-101.

DeMar DeRozan missed a 17-foot jumper at the end that would have given the Raptors victory.

It was the 10th loss in the past 14 games for Toronto (32-23).

Tobias Harris led Detroit (26-29) with 24 points off the bench.

TIMBERWOLVES 117 bt BULLS 89 - Andrew Wiggins scored 27 points and Karl-Anthony Towns added 22 as the Minnesota Timberwolves crushed the shorthanded Chicago Bulls 117-89.

Chicago played without starters Jimmy Butler and Dwyane Wade, as well as backups Nikola Mirotic and Paul Zipser. Minnesota took advantage with Ricky Rubio adding 17 points, 11 assists and six rebounds for the Timberwolves (21-34), who had lost five of their past six games.

Doug McDermott started for Butler and had 16 points for Chicago (26-29), who lost their third successive game.

KINGS 105 bt PELICANS 99 - DeMarcus Cousins scored 28 points and added 14 rebounds and seven assists as Sacramento beat New Orleans.

Darren Collison chipped in 20 points and eight assists for the Kings, who won for the third consecutive time and closed a 4-2 home stand that began with a buzzer-beater loss to the Phoenix Suns.
