Albania is looking to upgrade diplomatic and cultural relations with Australia.

Albania's Foreign Minister, Dr Edmond Panariti, is the first Albanian government minister to visit Australia.

He has met his counterpart, Bob Carr, other federal government ministers and the Opposition.
