The Hockeyroos secured a place in the Women's World Cup quarter-finals after a 1-1 draw with New Zealand.
Australia captain Emily Smith - celebrating her 26th birthday - scored the equaliser on 18 minutes.
Olivia Merry put the Black Sticks ahead five minutes earlier.
The result and Belgium's 6-3 defeat of Japan ensured the Hockeyroos finished top of Group D - after a win and two draws - to move directly into the last eight.
"We're really happy. It would've been nice to come out with a win but a draw was enough," veteran Hockeyroos defender Jodie Kenny said.
"We were really happy with that effort tonight so well done to our girls."
New Zealand took the led when Merry swooped on a loose ball to convert into the backboard after Hockeyroos goalkeeper Rachael Lynch had slid in to block Kelsey Smith's chance.
Australia didn't have to wait long to equalise when Stephanie Kershaw released Edwina Bone on the right flank and her cutback found Smith, who slid her shot under the on-rushing Black Sticks keeper Sally Rutherford.
Both teams had chances to win the match in an even contest but ultimately the points were shared at the Lee Valley Hockey and Tennis Centre.
Belgium pipped New Zealand for second spot with both sides moving on to the playoffs.
A win for the Black Caps would set up a Trans-Tasman quarter-final while the Belgians will meet Spain with the victor facing Germany in the next round.
Australia's quarter-final will be played on Thursday at 5.15am (AEST).
