Hockeyroos to contest four-nations event

The Hockeyroos will play a tournament in Darwin later this month featuring teams who have qualified for the Rio Olympics.

Australia will contest a four-nation women's hockey tournament in Darwin as part of their preparation for the Rio Olympics.

The third-ranked Hockeyroos will face New Zealand (fourth-ranked), Japan (10th) and India (13th) at the event starting on May 31.

The tournament leads into the Champions Trophy in London in late June, which serves as the final major event before the August Olympics.

Australia, Japan and India are all in one pool in Rio, while New Zealand has been placed on the opposite side of the draw.
