More than 1000 Holden cars from every era have cruised through the streets of Adelaide before the car maker shuts its factory doors in the city on Friday.
Kingswoods, Toranas, Monaros and Commodores were all part of Sunday's motorcade which started at Elizabeth City Centre before passing the Holden plant on Philip Highway.
The plant's closure on Friday will end almost 60 years of car production in Adelaide and a leave about 900 employees out of work.
The South Australian government on Sunday said it will will expand its automotive worker support scheme through a $600,000 joint funding boost with GM Holden.
The money will be used to create Beyond Auto Connected, an extension of the current Beyond Auto counselling service, and will provide a greater range of wellbeing and resilience services to help them once Holden shuts down.
"Automotive workers should be assured the State Government is committed to standing with them," Automotive Transformation Minister Kyam Maher said in a statement.
"And we will make sure they are fully supported when leaving the automotive manufacturing industry and starting the next chapter in their life."
The funding boost will give automotive workers access to personal counselling support for an extra year to June 2019.
