Lewis Holland will return to captain the Australian rugby sevens team at next month's London leg of the world series.
Playmaker Holland has been unavailable since he injured his hamstring in Vancouver in March, forcing him to miss April's Commonwealth Games.
The utility also missed Australia's heart-breaking 28-22 loss to Fiji in Singapore, conceding a long-range try after the fulltime siren to go down.
Coach Tim Walsh believes Holland's experience would be valuable at Twickenham next month as the team set out to make amends for its April defeats.
"We fell short in Singapore and we don't accept defeats no matter how they are perceived," he said on Wednesday.
Five of Australia's games in Singapore were decided by the final play.
"We need to be relishing the moments in pressure games and also learn to put teams away," he said.
Veteran forward Boyd Killingworth also returns from injury, while 21-year-old rookie Joe Pincus will make his debut after impressing in the Australian development side.
"Joe has all the attributes to be a great Sevens player for Australia," Walsh said.
"He's done his apprenticeship and has been knocking down the door of selection for a while now and the whole squad is excited to see him make his debut on the Twickenham turf in London."
Australia are fourth on the world rugby series ladder behind Fiji, South Africa and New Zealand.
They will play Wales, Spain and Ireland in their pool matches in London, with the top two finishers progressing to the cup quarter-finals.
