Holt breaks world record in T35 100m

Australian teenaged sprinter Isis Holt has broken her own world record in the T35 100 metres.

Australian para-athlete Isis Holt has broken her own world record in the women's T35 100m at the Commonwealth Games trials.

Holt, 16, clocked a winning time of 13.37 seconds on Saturday, stripping six hundredths of a second off the previous mark she set at last year's world titles in London.

The Victorian did the 100m-200m double at the 2015 and 2017 Paralympic world athletics championships.

She is the hottest of favourites to win the gold medal in the T35 100m at the Commonwealth Games in April.

There will be a record 12 Paralympic events on the track and field program at the Gold Coast Games.
