Two Hong Kong nationals allegedly caught trying to smuggle the drug ice into Sydney will remain behind bars until at least November.
Tsz Wui Wong, 19, and Kin Yan Lee, 31, were arrested separately on Sunday morning and charged with importing a commercial quantity of a border-controlled drug.
Australian Federal Police allege the pair concealed 4.5 kilograms of methamphetamine, also known as ice, in the lining of their suitcases before flying to Sydney Airport.
Neither man applied for bail during video-link appearances at Central Local Court on Monday and it was formally refused.
The two men will reappear in the same court on November 13.

They face a maximum penalty of life imprisonment if convicted.
