Hospitals, redress in COAG spotlight

Malcolm Turnbull will urge premiers to sign up to a new hospital funding deal and a national abuse redress scheme at the Council of Australian Governments meeting.

The prime minister outlined the wide agenda for Friday's meeting as he arrived at Parliament House, including a discussion with indigenous leaders on refreshing Closing the Gap targets.

"We'll also be dealing with the scourge of bullying, including cyber bullying," he told reporters ahead of the gathering.
