A house is believed to have been lost as a bushfire continues to spread in the Adelaide Hills.
The fire, which began on Thursday afternoon in unseasonably warm weather, was a risk to residents in the towns of Marble Hill, Cherryville and Basket Range, the Country Fire Service said on Friday.
ABC radio is reporting that a house has been lost, as strong northerly winds have pushed the fire within metres of homes.
Roads have been closed and police have imposed traffic restrictions in the area to ensure the safety of the public and emergency service personnel.
The CFS said the fire continues to burn in an accessible area and is slowly expanding in all directions.
