Housing prices flat last week

The only capital city to experience a rise in home prices last week was Melbourne, despite the number of listings falling 4.1 per cent nationally.

Capital city home prices were flat last week despite the number of listings falling.

The total number of listings fell 4.1 per cent in the week ending January 15, compared to the prior corresponding period, property market analytics firm CoreLogic said on Monday.

Only home prices in Melbourne rose last week, up 0.6 per cent, while Perth home values were tumbled 1.3 per cent.
