Human remains found after NSW house fire

Authorities have found a body, believed to be that of a 56-year-old man, after a house fire in the New England region of NSW.

A man has died in a house fire in the New England region of NSW.

Emergency services were called to a home on Allan Cunningham Way, Warialda Rail, after reports of a fire on Saturday afternoon.

Fire & Rescue NSW later found human remains inside the house, believed to be those of a 56-year-old man.

Detectives from Barwon Local Area Command are investigating the cause of the fire.
