On what would have been the seventh birthday of missing Sydney girl Kiesha Abrahams hundreds gathered at a candlelight vigil outside her Mt Druitt home last night placing Easter bunnies stuffed toys and other items along the front fence.
A group of about 10 people wore purple t-shirts with a motif of Kiesha's photo with one of them saying a few words about her followed by a number of children who read aloud poems.
The vigil came after Kiesha's mother 28-year-old Kristi Anne Abrahams and her 31-year-old stepfather Robert Terry Smith were both charged with the girl's murder.
Forensic officers have continued their search overnight of bushland around Shalvey where skeletal remains have already been found but not identified as yet.
