Hunt underway after man abducted 5-year-old girl in BMW

Police in Melbourne are still searching for a man wanted in connection with the abduction of a five-year-old girl when two men stole a BMW this morning.

The child has been recovered safe and well after she was taken along with the car from a house in Melbourne's outer southwest, following a police chase.

An 18-year-old man is now in custody but a second man remains at large.

A man has been arrested outside of Melbourne after two men allegedly kidnapped a five-year-old girl when they stole a BMW.

The car was taken early this morning from a house in Wyndham Vale in Melbourne's outer southwest with the girl in the back seat.

She's been recovered safe and well after police spotted the car and gave chase.

The 18-year-old man is now in custody after police received reports of a man loitering in Norlane, near Geelong.
