Queensland's Deputy Premier Jackie Trad has flatly denied she holds leadership aspirations.
Ms Trad and her senior colleagues have been forced to deny their cabinet is divided this week in the face of consistent rumours about tensions on key policies including anti-gang legislation and tree-clearing legislation.
She has previously offered a "100 per cent guarantee" that there will be no Labor leadership spill in Queensland.
At a Queensland Media Club lunch on Friday, Ms Trad went a step further and again said there was no prospect of a spill.
"I think that all this scuttlebutt is exactly that - it's scuttlebutt that just does not have any credibility inside the Labor caucus," Ms Trad said.
She praised Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk for taking the Labor party from just seven members in opposition to government and said Ms Palaszczuk had showed a willingness to tackle issues that were previously confined to the "too-hard basket".
Asked whether she wanted the top job, Ms Trad replied: "No".
She added: "I love my job and I absolutely love working with Annastacia.
Repeatedly pressed, Ms Trad continued to deny harbouring leadership aspirations.
"I don't want the job," she said.
"I love the job that I'm doing and I'm completely focused on delivering on our big reform agenda and getting important infrastructure projects across the line that the federal government needs to partner with us on."
