South Sydney's star hooker Damien Cook isn't a fan of Robbie Farah's potential Wests Tigers homecoming.
Just 18 months after his ugly fallout with then-coach Jason Taylor that led to his acrimonious departure from Concord, Farah has been linked with a mid-season move back to his former club.
The NRL website on Tuesday reported Tigers coach Ivan Cleary met with the club's board on Monday to discuss recruitment, including the potential signing of Farah.
The reunion is believed to be dependent on the Rabbitohs granting Farah a release from his current contract, which expires at the end of this season.
The former NSW State of Origin captain has made just two NRL appearances under coach Anthony Seibold this season after falling behind Cook for the hooking position.
And while the development would likely allow Farah to finish his career as a Tiger, it would also rob the current premiership favourites of a handy back-up.
Asked if it would be a loss to see Farah go, Cook told AAP: "It would be mate, yeah.
"I don't want to see him go. I enjoy having him at the club and in my corner, especially this year. He's been very supportive and helpful."
However Cook, who enjoyed a strong NSW Origin debut in their game-one win, conceded Farah deserves to play where he wants to.
In the same week the Tigers added Moses Mbye before the mid-season deadline on June 30, the signing of Farah could help the club's push for a finals spot over the second half of the season.
The Tigers are currently four points adrift of the top eight in 10th spot.
"If Robbie wants to go back there and finish his career, I support him in that," Cook said.
"He's had a great career and he deserves to finish the way he wants to. Whichever way it is, at South Sydney or if it is at the Tigers, then I wish him all the best."
Cook said Farah had not only been helpful in his transformation into a starting hooker for the Rabbitohs this year, but as a Blues representative as well.
"He just said enjoy the experience, good luck and just play your style of footy," Cook said.
