Queensland authorities are attempting to have an alleged ice trafficker extradited from NSW after he was arrested in Sydney over the weekend.

The 35-year-old man was arrested at Sydney International Airport on Saturday as he tried to leave the country after Queensland's Crime and Corruption Commission issued a warrant for his arrest.

The man, who is accused of being involved in a Queensland criminal syndicate that produced and distributed crystal methylamphetamine in Sydney and the Gold Coast, will face Sydney Central Court on Monday.
